CCTWIN is CCT's DVI previewer for Windows 3.x (x>=1).

CCTWIN16.EXE and CCTWIN32.EXE are respectively 16-bit and 32-bit versions
of CCTWIN. CCTWIN32.EXE is faster than CCTWIN16.EXE but it requies
WIN32S support under Windows 3.x.

     - Allow larger Chinese characters.

     - For EPSF specials and quote specials, try to locate and use
       dviname.bm? files generated by pscvt.exe.

     - Avoid reloading font bitmaps which have already been loaded when
       the DVI file is changed and CCTWIN regains the focus, and the
       position of the scrollbars is unchanged.

     - Support for Chinese TrueType fonts.

     - Calls MF386.EXE to generate missing PK fonts when necessary.

     - Faster 32-bit version for WIN32S is now available.


. CCTWIN recognizes the following command line options:

	-E	Uses English menu and messages. By default, the menu
		and messages will be displayed in Simplified Chinese.

	-Z#	Specifies initial zoom factor. '#' stands for a floating
		point number.

	-R#[:#]	Specifies font resolution. '#' stands for a floating
		point number.

	-M#	Specifies magnification. It overrides the magnification
		defined in DVI files. '#' stands for an integer number.

	-B#:#	Specifies horizontal and vertical margins. Default
		margins are set to 1cm. '#' stands for a length such
		as '1cm', '0.5in', etc.

	-Is	Gives path for Chinese fonts. 's' stands for a
		string. Default value is '{CCTWINDIR}\hzfonts' where
		'{CCTWINDIR}' stands for the directory (location) of
		CCTWIN.

	-Ps	Gives path for PK fonts. 's' stands for a string.
		Default value is '{CCTWINDIR}\pixel\dpi$d' where
		'{CCTWINDIR}' stands for the directory (location) of
		CCTWIN.

	-G#	Gives the value of gamma which is used to adjust
		grey levels. '#' stands for a floating point number.
		Default value is 1.0.

	-Ns	Specifies range(s) of page numbers to display. 's'
		stands for a string of the form '9', '5:6', '1;3;7:8',
		etc.

	-U#	Specifies parity of page numbers to display. '#'
		should be 0 (all pages), 1 (odd pages), or 2 (odd pages).
		Default value is 0.

	-V#	Specifies type of page numbers used by '-N' option.
		'#' should be 0 (for TeX page number) or 1 (sequential
		numbering). Default value is 0.


. Environment variables:

CCTWIN recognizes the environment variables 'CCPKPATH', 'CCHZPATH',
and 'xxxxxxxxOPTS' as other DVI drivers of CCT do. Read CCT's manual
for details.


. Installation:

Copy CCTWIN16.EXE or CCTWIN32.EXE to the main directory of a DOS version
of CCT, and create a program item (Windows 3.x) or short-cut (Windows 95)
for it. CCTWIN uses the same policy for locating Chinese and PK fonts.
It also recognizes the environment variables 'CCPKPATH' and 'CCHZPATH'.
Please read the manual for the DOS version of CCT for more information.

With current implementation of CCT, it is suggested to compile TeX/LaTeX
documents in a DOS window and use CCTWIN to preview and print if you
use Windows 95. CCTWIN16.EXE and CCTWIN32.EXE may be invoked from the
command-line in a DOS window, and may be used to replace VIEW.BAT or
DVISCR.EXE under Windows 95.

A text editor, et.exe, is available at the following location:

It allows to input Chinese characters in a DOS window of Windows 95.

The printing speed of CCTWIN at 600dpi or higher
resolutions is some what slow, in this case, the DOS version of DVI
drivers (e.g., DVIDJ500.EXE) may be a better choice for printing large
documents.
